👋Locally Made. Personally Crafted.

        Professionally Engraved.

Hi, I’m Christopher Dill, owner and maker behind Laser This (or That) — a small business built on creativity, community, and craftsmanship right here in Middletown, New Jersey.

After recently retiring from law enforcement, I’ve been able to fully focus on this passion that started as a side project while still on active duty. I launched Laser This (or That) in March of 2023, combining the precision and discipline from my career with a love for design and custom creation.

What began as a small creative outlet quickly grew into a trusted local brand serving schools, sports teams, and families across New Jersey. Now that I’m retired, I’m excited to expand our offerings, introduce new materials and techniques, and take on larger custom and corporate projects — all while staying true to what makes our work unique: personal craftsmanship and local pride.

🥃 The Art of Sand Carving

While laser engraving produces a sharp, precise finish, our sand-carved glassware offers a deeper level of artistry. Each piece is masked, blasted, and etched by hand, resulting in a frosty, tactile texture that’s elegant, durable, and beautifully detailed. It’s a more time-intensive process — but one that delivers a truly professional result.

Whether it’s a custom-engraved tumbler, cutting board, ornament, or hand-sand-carved glass, every product is made with care, pride, and a personal touch.

⚙️ Equipment Used

At Laser This (or That), we take pride not only in craftsmanship but also in using professional-grade equipment to ensure every project meets the highest standard of precision and quality. Our studio is powered by:

  • AP Lazer 4024LR (100-Watt CO₂ Laser) — For large-format engraving and cutting on wood, acrylic, glass, and coated metals.

  • xTool F1 Ultra Diode and Fiber Laser — A dual-purpose system offering speed and flexibility for both metal and non-metal materials.

  • Lens Digital PiBurn Omni Rotary Device — Allows flawless engraving on cylindrical items such as tumblers, glasses, and mugs.

  • DeWalt Sandblasting Cabinet — Used in our sand-carving process to achieve deep, frosted finishes and ultra-clean detailing on glassware and other surfaces.

These tools give us the versatility to engrave, cut, and personalize an extensive range of materials — from fine glassware to heavy metal — with consistent, professional results every time.

✨ Precision Tools. Quality Results. Every Project.
